Before you begin
What to know before you start
- Reserving changes the tunnel's address to the name you choose. Anything that used the old address must be updated.
- Releasing a name gives the tunnel a new generated address and holds the name for your workspace for 30 days.
Steps
Step 1. Open the tunnel in the dashboard and find Address.
It shows how many reserved addresses your plan includes and how many you use: 1 on Free, 5 on Starter, 10 on Pro, 25 on Team and 50 on Business.
You should see: You see Choose an address.
Step 2. Type the name you want.
Use 3 to 40 lower-case letters, digits and single hyphens, not starting or ending with a hyphen. Some names are reserved, for example names that look like a well-known service. The page tells you if a name is taken or reserved.
You should see: The page says Available.
Step 3. Choose Reserve.
You should see: The tunnel's address is now your name. Restart the connector if it does not reconnect on its own.
You are done when
- The tunnel's address is your name followed by .instawormhole.site.
Undo or clean up
- Choose Release the name on the tunnel.
