Use the connector
The connector is the way to open a tunnel today. It runs as a program on your computer, keeps a connection to the relay open, and forwards requests to your app. It handles ordinary requests, WebSockets and streaming responses.
- Windows (x64), macOS (Apple silicon and Intel) and Linux (x64 and arm64).
- Install with npx, or download the program for your system.
- Works with durable tunnels, so you get a stable address, access protection and the request inspector.
Browser Quick Share
Browser Quick Share is a limited path that would run inside a browser tab. It cannot reproduce cookies, WebSockets, server-sent events, streaming responses or arbitrary request headers, and it has been tested on one browser. It is still being tested and is not part of the standard setup.
